Advent is a time (season) of preparation for Christmas (the day & season celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ).
It forms one part of this my favourite time of year, The ACE Seasons. The ACE Seasons? Advent, Christmas & Epiphany.

This book follows the Church of England daily & weekly bible readings & prayers, but I think most importantly this is a time to consider our personal relationship with both God & mankind (our friends, family & all our worldwide neighbours).

Today’s figure from our Advent calander was a shepherd looking after a chocolate reindeer & the chocolate was a nice addition to my breakfast cereal.
