Last weekend, Hilary & I went away for a quick weekend break away in Weybourne Norfolk to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary.
We had a fine time (apart from a minor car incident-sadly a small deer (Muntjack?) just raced out of a hedge into the front passenger front head light area & there was no way to avoid it & it was thrown back into the hedge severely injured or dead & we could not stop nearby to confirm, as the road was busy at that exact time). Oh dear, poor deer! The car is pretty smashed & has gone in to the garage for repair. It was a sad end to a good break & anniversary celebration & a really unfortunate freak accident to experience.
Also, somewhat ironically, I had started suffering toothache & swelling from an abscess arising & I have had to make an appointment to visit the dentist for treatment! So, we are back home & now have the new month (November) to look forward to. The evenings are darker earlier now and the temperature is cooler, meaning our tender pot plants now need frost protection.
On bigger issues, it is the start of the COP conference on ECO issues & both Hilary & me hope all the world leaders will take this seriously, as the science shows that without effective action now, the world will continue to degrade at an alarming rate, causing pain & misery to many. It is time to truly acknowledge this & work well together to save mankind & this beautiful planet! Let’s go!
