More blogging + free gift to come…

I have over the last few days created a free gift to give away on my blog!

I intend now to blog regularly and also post freebies to give away. I shall soon add the ‘Freebies’ page.

The free gift I have just made and will be making available for download from here is a FREE HTML5 salespage template.

This should be very useful for all internet marketers.  I will though provide this free gift as a reward for signing up to my blog as I will be doing the interactive approach of sending emails to subscribers.

Later I plan to provide regular email newsletters and really get interactive! I have great plans for sharing my knowledge and experience in marketing, computing and other topics in this way. However before I release this free salespage template I am adding an A Webber opt in form in the sidebar to subscribe to my blog & then receive my free HTML5 salespage template.

Internet Marketing and mentoring with IBCX

I have just recently joined an Internet Marketing and mentoring program called ‘InternetBusinessCodeX’ or IBCX for short!

This course is led by Gary Simpson & Garry Parkes, two well known and highly respected bloggers and marketers. These two have great experience through their years online marketing (including seminars with Alex Jeffreys and many other IM contacts). I have already experienced tremendous advice and generosity from these two leaders which is pushing my own Internet Marketing goals forward.

As IBCX has just started I am part of the first course and the members range from IM novices to experienced IM marketers and there is something valuable to gain from this course for anyone even vaguely interested in IM. anIMass WordPress theme for my blog

Today I changed my blog theme from my original theme (remember?-it was my customisation of Ryan Grabensteiner’s WP theme) to my WordPress theme anIMass!

I had just customised anIMass theme for Hilary’s blog (increasing the content width & adjusting wordwrap on the comments) and I have used this template for anIMass here. I still have some tweaking edits to do to get everything working fully correctly but so far I am pleased with how my WP theme anIMass is (appearance & function) now.

Springing into action?

I don’t really know how time flies by so quickly in this cyberspace internet world as it is mid February already and I haven’t posted any updates after my New Year resolutions!

However I can say that I am doing most of my computing on my son’s old computer that I installed Ubuntu on back in November 2010. Since then I have been enjoying and not enjoying using Ubuntu! In short I like Ubuntu (I am using Ubuntu10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx) but it has been very unstable to use & I have spent lots of time trying to restore it after it’s many crashes. I learnt the hard way & lost a lot of my documents as I initially had made no backup before a catastrophic crash but now I try & backup regularly! I have added a page ‘Ubuntu’ to my blog and intend to give more detail on my Ubuntu experiences on that page.

I had been trying to learn something about Graphic programming in Ubuntu installing Gambas, FreeBasic, GtK+ etc etc and I still want to learn and do more Graphic programming. I was also exploring using The GIMP image software and doing webdesign mockups with .xcf and photoshop .psd files and slicing and converting them to webpages. I am trying to sharpen up my webdesign skills as I have one main project in mind and I have been trying to design a new website for this. Interestingly I became more aware of the effect of different screen resolutions on my website designs as in Ubuntu10.04 (which I am using now to do this post!) my res is 1280×1024 whereas on my other VistaPC the res is 1024×800. I am trying to make my webdesigns display well in both resolutions but doing any of this work has been greatly delayed with the trouble I have had with Ubuntu crashing!

Also I have just now done a WordPress update to v3.0.5.
Other than those technical issues I have managed to play some tennis and chess with moderate success!

Like many others I am looking forward to Spring time and am enjoying the days getting lighter earlier.
When is spring time in UK? Is it when the clocks go forward in March? (or when we get frog spawn or all of the other natural spring like happenings!). Anyway lots of bulbs are starting to flower now so I think Spring is definitely on it’s way & Winter is on the way out?!

Let’s look forward to springing into action now…..perhaps soon I can get outside and do some gardening too!

Belated Happy New Year 2011 to all!

A happy New Year 2011 to all!

I made a New Years resolution to try to think more deeply! I also intend for this to help any action I may take after I have done a greater and deeper thought process!

I suppose I have other aims for the New Year 2011 also. Included in this is to try to do more blog posts! So this is my belated start!…

So far this year I have been working on a new website business which I intend to start very soon and I will be doing this with my wife (Hilary). I finished the static html index page today which is custom built and have been adding WordPress code to turn it into a WordPress theme. This new WP theme needs a little more editing before it will be fully ready but I hope this won’t take more than a couple of hours at most to do and I can get it done this week! Hopefully we will open this website and new business venture very soon! (after a lot of deep thought!…).

So my next post should follow soon!

anIMass version2 free WordPress theme released!

I had a small problem with my free WordPress theme anIMass as the Amazon skyscraper widget did not display properly in the sidebar.

So I have edited the theme and now release anIMass version2. I have radically edited this theme and it is now designed and coded in HTML5.

and downloaded from there (it can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this post too).

It should work fine as it is now but it is a work in progress and so I will be continually editing it, so do check regularly for new version updates. If like the look of it why not try it?
